Mary-Kate and Ashley walk in, wave at the audience and shake hands with Jay
"Good to see ya, hows it going. Take a seat."
Everyone sits down
"Ashley and Mary-Kate"
He motions to each girl as he says their names
"You know I'm reading the Hollywood reporter and it has a special Issue 'Mary-Kate and Ashley, most powerful young woman in Hollywood' how does that feel?"
"The same I don't know. I feel.."
"We don't really think about that"
"Yeah, Well I mean you're doing pretty good. Rolling in do"
"Thank-you, hehe"
"Things are good?"
"Yes, they're are very good. We're, Actually our birthdays coming up so we're excited"
"You're excited?"
"Yeah"
"So you'd be what, sixteen?"
"Sixteen" - In Unison
"O ok you're getting your license?"
"Yes, hopefully" - In Unison
"Now do you take the test together with twin steering wheels or do you go in seperate cars?"
"Seperately, I think Mary-Kate's going first though"
"11:10 and you're 11:30."
"yes"
"Oh 11:10, 11:30"
Everyone laughs
"Did you both take the written test?"
"yes"
"Yes"
"And how'd you do, did you pass?"
"We both passed the first time. "
"Now did you both get the same number right?"
"I don't know, I think I got one more right then you did"
Audience laughs
"Maybe. "
"Maybe, I don't know"
Jay makes a little catfight sound and the twins laugh
"Now do you guys like, get an allowence, how do you work this? I mean you have all these different things going"
"Um, well lately we haven't really been getting an allowence cause we've been busy with finals and everything but normally it's ten dollars a week if we do our chores. "
"10 dollars a week? You need a manager you're getting screwed!"
Everyone laughs
"let me tell you something. You know that's worse then Don King. So you're making a billion dollars and you get ten bucks a week that's bad percentaging! You need to sit down and talk to a businessperson. Wow! Are you gonna get some new cars for your birthday?"
"Hopefully"
"Well that'll be cool. Now would you both get the same kind of car? Or would you get something different"
"Just different colors, the same car though."
"Oh so you like the same car?"
"Yeah"
"A big car"
"Cause you really like to hang out together all the time"
"Yes. This morning we were dancing together."
"Yeah"
"Just dancing!"
"So have you done like, uh, do you drive with an adult what do you call it?"
"An instructor?"
"Yeah, like have you been out practicing?"
"Oh yeah, we got our permit 8 months ago so we were able to drive for a long time"
"Ok"
"So we've been driving our parents around instead of them driving us around."
"Have you gotten a ticket?"
"No but um she got in an accident!."
"I actually got in an little car accident!"
"Not with another car."
"I ran into a pole. Cause I took too sharp of a turn and I"
"Took off the door I was sitting at. Like, Just took it off!"
"And I just jumped out and ran to, well didn't run I climbed to the other seat. "
"She got too nervous"
"I was SO nervous!"
"See girls always seem to get into little car accidents. You know what I'm saying. Guys into big smashes. You ripped the door off, that doesn't sound like a little car accident. Well how did you do it, what did you do?"
"She.."
"It was just a sharp turn and I"
"It wasn't that sharp!"
Audience laughs
"It's like a big, it was a suburban and it's a big car!"
"You're driving a suburban?"
"It's a huge car!"
"Why are you driving such a huge car? You'd look like a raisanette behind the wheel of a suburban!"
Everyone laughs
"Why didn't you get a little car that. Why a big car. You guys are sitting on phone books, how do you even reach the pedals?.. Well hows your parallel parking have you done that?"
"yeah, I, I'm pretty ok but I get nervous when theres cars behind you and you're trying to turn the wheel and do the thing and it's just.. you get nervous!"
"The odds of other cars being on the street is almost nil"
They laugh
"I think, it's so rare that that will happen ok. Now how about boyfriends? Do you have boyfriends?"
"Yes" - In Unison
"So you don't have, twin boyfriends or anything like that?"
"No"
"No but they're actually best friends so it kinda worked out."
"So you go out with twp guys that are best friends?"
"Right"
"O ok"
"We go on double dates and everything"
"So where do you go, what's your double date?"
"For our birthday I think all four of us are going out"
"ok so they're old enough to drive"
"Yes"
"How old are they? like fifty-five, fifty-six? Are these older guys?"
Audience laughs
"Like 17"
"17"
"Oh 17!"
"Yes"
"So they get to drive?"
"Right"
"Oh well they're really responsible.
"They are responsible."
"Nobodies more responsible then teenage boys.
Everyone laughs
"No they're really responsible."
"Did your parents get a little worried, is that a little scary"
"No"
"At first I'm sure that they were, but they get along really well so it's ok."
"Right, so what year would you be in school. Do you go to regular school do you homeschool?"
"No we go to regular school" - In unison
"But we have a studio teacher when we're working."
"Oh ok, so what grade you guys are what?"
"Uh,"
"We're gonna be juniors."
"We're sophomores but we're gonna be juniors, cause we're in summer right now."
"How are your grades?"
"Pretty good. Like A's and B's."
"Like A's and B's?"
"No A's and B's."
"Or something similar to A's and B's?
"No A's and B's" - In Unison
"And do you both excel in the same sort of, are you both good at the same sort of things?"
"Mary-Kate's better in English I think,."
"A little, but I don't know."
"Yeah you're better then me"
"it's a pass."
"She's better at writing. Then I am."
"Now you see you guys are so nice. You see most siblings are like eee, they just seem to be at each others. And you guys are like oh no I was, oh no I was wrong... I mean do you guys ever argue have moments were you go 'That's mine you little weasel!' you know"
"I mean we fight over stuff like clothes and stuff. But nothing big"
"Really?"
"Yeah, "
"Are there ever moments when you say nasty things to each other?"
The girls look at each other and Mary-Kate laughs
"No, but I mean, we're sisters so of course we're gonna fight!"
"Right, well I don't know are you?"
"But you never fought over the same boy friend or anything?"
"No"
"So how do you find time to study and run the, cause they've said you guys really do run the company. You look at, you go over all the clothes. And do all the things?"
"Yeah, cause we don't want anything in our brand that we wouldn't like or want to be there."
"Ok, well that makes sense"
"Yeah"
"What do you want to do, when you finish college. will you go to the same college? Or will you both go to different colleges. One to the east coast and one to the west coast?"
"We both wanna go to the east coast" - In unison
"And live together and do that whole thing?"
"so you wanna live together and do that whole thing?"
"Yeah"
"So what are your summer plans, what do you do this summer?"
"Um, nothing. Actually this is like the first summer in a really long time."
"Since we were like 5."
"That we've had off. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself for 3 months!"
"Are you going to go on vacation?"
"Um, I think we're gonna go to hawaii for a week, maybe."
"With our family"
"Right, Now would you ever say 'I'm gonna go to hawaii', or do you consult each other before you say it.. We're gonna go to hawaii."
"No we're gonna go.."
"We'd always ask each other when we wanna go and with who, but we're gonna go with our family. "
"Would you ever go by yourself, and you by yourself?"
"Maybe if we went with a friend..But I think we'd just usually go together."
"You know it's gonna be an issue when you guys get married. That honeymoon's gonna be something."
Everyone laughs
"I'm gonna be interested to see how that's gonna work out. Well congratulations on all your success"
"Thank-you so much!"
